Climb Mt Warning / Visit the National Park

Located inland from Tweed Heads in Northern NSW, the aboriginal people call it Wollumbin, a name meaning fighting chief of the mountains. They believed that thunder and lightning seen on the mountain were fighting warriors, the wounds of these fights being represented by the landslides that occurred. The name, Mt Warning, was given by Captain Cook in May, 1770 during his trip up the east coast of Australia. The park features a vast range of temperate and sub-tropical rainforests. Walks are available from the base of Mt Warning to the top. Those planning on the walk should allow themselves a good half day for the round trip and should wear good sturdy shoes.

Parrot Garder

Come and visit our magnificent Parrot Garden while you enjoy an array of healthy snacks, homemade cakes, and organic produce. Relax with a cuppa amidst this tropical setting surrounded by unusual and exotic parrots plus other animals such as alpacas, goats, donkeys, llamas and miniature ponies. $5.00 entry. Free Admission if customer in the cafe.

People are drawn from far and wide to experience the magic of this delightful destination and to relax in the serenity and peaceful surroundings. Flutterbies evokes the nostalgia and mystery of yester year, with its warm and friendly service, wholesome meals reminiscent of grandma's baking, the smiling waitresses in uniforms of frills and lace, the ambient music, the fresh flowers, the crystal chandeliers, and the shelves overflowing with exquisite home and gift wares.
